1. General Return Period
We offer a 30-day return or exchange period for most items from the date of purchase or delivery.
2. Eligibility for Return
To be eligible for a return or exchange, all items must meet the following criteria:
- Condition: The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in the exact same condition that you received it.
- Packaging: The item must be in its original, undamaged packaging, with all components, manuals, and accessories included.
- Proof of Purchase: You must provide the original receipt, invoice, or other proof of purchase.
Items that are not in a new, resalable condition will be subject to inspection and may be refused or incur a restocking fee.
3. How to Start a Return
All returns must be pre-authorized. To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

- Provide Details: Include your name, order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.

- Ship the Item: Clearly write the RA number on the outside of the return package. Items returned without a valid RA number may be refused and returned to the customer at their expense.
4. Restocking Fees
- Returns within 30 days: No restocking fee will be applied for eligible returns requested within the 30-day period.
- Returns after 30 days: Returns may not be accepted after 30 days. However, at our discretion, an item may be accepted with a restocking fee of 20% of the original purchase price.
- Non-Resalable Condition: Items returned that are missing components, damaged, or otherwise not in new, resalable condition may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 50% or may be refused.
5. Shipping Costs for Returns
- Customer Responsibility (Change of Mind): For items returned due to a "change of mind" or incorrect ordering, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service.
- Carpenter's Stop Responsibility (Defective/Error): If the return is a result of our error (e.g., you received a defective or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs by providing a prepaid return label.
6. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification. If the return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to your original method of payment.
- Please allow 5-10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item was defective or the wrong item was shipped.
7. Non-Returnable Items and Exceptions
The following items are generally not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:
- Clearance or Sale Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance."
- Custom or Special-Order Items: Products that were customized, personalized, or specially ordered for you.
- Installed or Modified Items: Any product that has been installed, disassembled, welded, cut, or otherwise modified.
- Electrical Components: Due to their sensitive nature, electrical items that have been plugged in or installed are generally non-returnable.
8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order is damaged in transit, defective upon arrival, or if you received the wrong item:

- We will assess the issue and work to provide a prompt replacement, repair, or full refund, including covering the return shipping costs. Do not discard the original boxes or packaging.
